Technology is currently looking for a
Scientist 1
Scientist 1 (Biochemistry R & D) will develop real time PCR assays to identify pathogens in the environment and in human tissues.
Designs and develops assays by conducting literature searches, using BLAST and sequence analysis software.
Optimizes assays for manufacture.
Analyzes data to facilitate information transfer within and between groups.
Interacts with other groups within R&D and manufacturing to facilitate processes.
Writes reports, GMP documents and contributes to grant writing.
Makes intellectual contributions in group meetings and departmental meetings.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or other Biological Sciences
Extensive experience in molecular biology is necessary. Real time PCR experience is not required but is preferred. The candidate must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must thrive in a team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment.
Salary: Based upon experience, negotiable.
